Initially we engaged the team at Pacific Health Testing Associates to design and manage our drug and alcohol management plan. I was impressed with Chris and Steve’s knowledge and professionalism during the implementation phase. Their knowledge of matters of employment law, the new Health & Safety At Work Act and the New Zealand Standard surrounding workplace drug and alcohol gave me full confidence in their abilities. When they wrote our policy we were actively involved in the process which provided us the document surprisingly fast. The staff consultation and presentation was delivered in a way that we saw an immediate ‘buy-in’ and acceptance from our team without exception. Their ability to interact with all of our staff when on-site has proven their worth.
Based on this experience, I then asked them to take on our occupational health checks which have been a total success. Once again, their professionalism, experience and interaction with our team have been the stand-out feature. Their point of difference for us was that all their services are completely portable and with their full understanding of productivity in the workplace, their ability to come to us and work within our environment rather than sending our team off site for hours at a time was a no-brainer. This necessity under the new act couldn’t have been easier for us.
