John Hammond

John is a paramedic with 18+ years of experience, including several years as a Clinical Educator
in Auckland and 4 years working for St John Ambulance, Marlborough.  He has a vast practical experience in outdoor and elevated risk management and leading personnel under adverse conditions.  His background includes working as a lifeguard then lifeguard instructor.  He has taught at Senior Lifeguard Schools,
Secondary School Outdoor Education exercises, Abseil Courses and mentored new
Ambulance Officers and AUT students. Most recently John has spent several years
facilitating National Diploma in Ambulance Practice courses, St John CCE sessions, First
Responder and Operational Risk Management courses.

He enjoys outdoor adventures, motorcycle riding and teaching, online learning technology,
and time with his dog Maverick and friends and family.
