Most of Melissa's working life has been as a business owner in fishing and aquaculture both in New Zealand and Australia. Following the Kaikoura earthquakes she changed career an retrained as an Ambulance Officer. She now holds a New Zealand Diploma in Ambulance Operations and continues to work part time as a front line Ambulance Officer in addition to her role with PHTA. With her business background Melissa has a solid understanding of operations, employment, exporting and compliance.
